This privacy policy applies to the mobile app “Song Guess”.
1. General Information
No registration is required to use the app.
I do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifiable personal data myself.
Data is processed only in the context of the third-party services described below, which are used for stability monitoring, analytics, and handling in‑app purchases and subscriptions.

3. Data Processed When Using the App
When you use the app, the following data may be collected by external services:
- Device information (e.g. device type, operating system version)
- App information (e.g. app version, time of use)
- Technical event data (e.g. crashes, error messages)
- Usage data (e.g. how often a game is started)
- Purchase and subscription data (e.g. type of in‑app purchase, subscription status – via RevenueCat)
This data is not used by me to personally identify individual users, nor do I combine it with other data sources.
4. Sentry – Stability Monitoring
I use the service Sentry
(Sentry, 1501 Mariposa St #408, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA)
to monitor the technical stability and security of the app and to detect and fix code errors.
Purpose of processing
- Monitoring system stability
- Detecting and analyzing errors and crashes
- Improving the quality and reliability of the app
Type of data
- Technical metadata about the device (e.g. operating system, device model)
- Time and context of an error
- Technical log information
Legal basis
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
My legitimate interest is to improve the stability and security of the app.
Data processing and anonymisation
The data processed by Sentry is collected in an anonymous or pseudonymous form, is not used for advertising purposes, and is deleted after the purpose has been fulfilled. Identifying individual users is not intended.

5. Wiredash – Analytics
The app uses Wiredash
(Wiredash GmbH, Turmstr. 28, 40789 Monheim am Rhein, Germany)
for analytics and to receive feedback on app usage.
Purpose of processing
- Analyzing app usage (e.g. how often a game is started)
- Improving stability, usability, and functionality
- Optional user feedback about the app
Type of data
- Usage statistics (e.g. game starts, feature usage)
- Device and app information in technical form
- Any feedback you voluntarily provide
Legal basis
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
My legitimate interest is to analyze how the app is used in order to improve it and fix issues.

6. RevenueCat – In‑App Purchases and Subscriptions
For managing in‑app purchases and subscriptions, the app uses RevenueCat
(RevenueCat, Inc., Brandon, Florida, USA).
Purpose of processing
- Managing in‑app purchases and subscriptions (entitlements)
- Verifying purchase and subscription status (e.g. whether premium access is active)
- Performing server-side purchase validation against the respective app stores
- Technical analysis of purchase events (e.g. for error diagnosis and fraud prevention)
Type of data processed
Depending on the platform (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and configuration, RevenueCat may process in particular:
- Information about in‑app purchases and subscriptions (e.g. product ID, time of purchase, subscription status)
- Anonymous or pseudonymous customer / user identifiers (e.g. an app-specific anonymous identifier)
- Device and app information in technical form
- Technical metadata about transactions (e.g. receipts from the respective app stores)
According to RevenueCat, no credit card data is processed; payments are handled by the respective app store.
Legal basis
The legal basis for this processing is generally
– Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract) regarding the handling of in‑app purchases and subscriptions, and
– Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests) for fraud prevention, stability, and error analysis.
Data transfers to third countries
RevenueCat processes data, among other locations, in the United States.
Data transfers are based on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures described by RevenueCat) to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

7. Advertising and Other Third Parties
The “Song Guess” app currently does not use advertising networks such as Google AdMob.
If this changes in the future, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly and you will be informed within the app.
8. Data Transfers to Third Countries
Where services such as Sentry or RevenueCat transfer data to countries outside the European Union (in particular the USA), this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU‑US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses) provided by the respective provider to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

9. Storage Period
The data collected by the services mentioned above is stored only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described. Afterwards, the data is deleted or anonymised.
10. Your Rights Under the GDPR
Under the GDPR, you have in particular the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

11. Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may modify this privacy policy to reflect changes in the law or in the app or the services used.
The current version will always be available within the app.
